Leaving the house to do my morning writing really illuminates my own internal Prima Donna. Found a coffee shop on Classon that I had not noticed before. Great atmosphere. Normal prices. However, the table is slightly too low, relative to the seat, to really make writing by hand comfortable. Yes, I hate me, too. It’s fine. That said, there is a guy here working on two laptops. TWO! Do you think he’s a member of Anonymous? Is that a way that a geek signifies that he is a VIP geek?

I started a new finite Tumblr called BradleyManningSciFi. I plan to post one short story for each day of the trial (so I am already two days behind. Fortunately, the trial is on reset on Monday, so I should be able to catch up this weekend). [Once upon a time, at the Continental Midtown, Philadelphia, 2007 - the lads and me with some girl] When my girlfriend gets like a new haircut or a new dress and asks me what I think, I tell her she looks great. She always says that she wishes that I could one day say it in a way that she actually believed I meant it.  She says I always sound sarcastic. But I can’t help it. I have a sincerity disability.  I can’t help it. Even when I mean it I can’t sound like I mean it. Once upon a time, there was a way that I didn’t have a sincerity disability, though. Back when I used to be working the scene, if I managed to worm my way into a group of girls, I wouldn’t ever go after the most attractive one.  My buddy, he was always into the girl who could light up the whole room. I set my sights on the one you could just barely read by.  The trouble is they knew it. My true intentions came through loud and clear.  Why couldn’t my sincerity disability work in my favor?

I can always tell when I am going to be depressed. It always starts the same way. With waking up in the morning. … Every day, I wake up the same way: to the sound of my neighbor beating the shit out of her kids. I can hear her. She’s accusing them of stealing her booze. She’s a total alcoholic. It’s crazy. They are kids. Kids aren’t stealing booze. So, you know, I work from home, and I know them. So I hear them get back from school, and a lot of times I will go over there. You know, help them with their homework. Hang out. I know they have got it rough. But, I don’t really like kids. So that’s not very fun for me. So, to make it a little better, I have this thing I do. I steal some of their mom’s booze. … Then I get depressed when she wakes me up the next morning, beating the shit out of her kids, accusing them of stealing her booze.
