Today I drove almost two hours out and back so I could watch You Can See Everything and Street Fighter back to back. No regrets.

I had a great feeling about both films, and neither one disappointed me. You Can takes a couple surprising turns I found very satisfying. Fiedler is a very creative storyteller. And Street Fighter is pure pulp — the kind of pulp I'm not sure I've seen in a long time. Like early Indiana Jones films. And yet it wasn't empty.

Both were just what I was hoping they would be.
